CORNERSTONE NETWORK
GLOBAL MINISTRY UPDATE
October 4, 2009
God is opening doors for a global focus for Cornerstone in new places that we had not even imagined before going to Call2All . . . it was definitely the direction of the Holy Spirit for us to be there and broaden our horizons.
1. Mongolia – Jardel da Silva, ministry leader for YWAM for the country of Mongolia, is enthusiastic about using Pray-Care-Share with new believers as they plant new churches. They planted 25 churches within a two-month period. I have a mentoring relationship with Jardel. http://www.ywam.org/articles/article.asp?AID=730&bhcp=1
2. China – God is opening doors for Craig to reach factory workers in China.
“Hoping we could somehow join with your organization to help you reach millions of factory workers in China for Christ.” From a letter to Agnew Liu from Jubilee, Hong Kong.
3. India – A development coordinator for Finishing the Task, who must remain unnamed for security reasons, will lead the training of 100,000 new church leaders in northern India this year. This ministry leader wrote,
“Thank you for your partnership. For your information, I have always believed that local churches are the light of the world. That's why I [will be] promoting the lighthouse movement where it is possible” (i.e., Pray-Care-Share).
4. Finishing the Task – Today, 639 unengaged, unreached people groups with populations over 100,000, together numbering over 535,000,000 souls, are still beyond the reach of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Beccy and I were privileged to meet with Paul Eshleman, the director of Finishing the Task, and Rick Dunn, who is assisting him, to present the Pray-Care-Share strategy. I received this response from them:
“We're definitely interested in further talk regarding how Pray-Care-Share can be used in spreading the gospel in these unreached people groups.” http://www.finishingthetask.com/
5. Middle East, Europe and South America - Roland Niednagel of LLNI (Lifelong Leadership Network International) is the mission of Roland and Patricia Niednagel to see the Good News spread through a worldwide ministry to train indigenous pastors, church planters and Christian leaders in 25 countries of the Middle East, Europe and South America. http://www.llni.org/
Roland wrote, “Pray-Care-Share provides wonderful encouragement and opportunities to promote His call.We would consider it an honor to partner with you in the journey.”
6. Berlin, Germany - Amadeus Vadonis, Church Planting with NMSI (New Mission Systems International). http://www.nmsi.org/
“I'd like to inquire how to connect with you and your vision of Pray-Care-Share to figure out if we could set it up as our strategy here in Berlin for reaching our city.”
I see an ongoing mentoring relationship with Amadeus.
7. Luis Palau – Citywide Festivals of Love. Luis Palau Ministries have moved from evangelistic crusades to city festivals based on Pray-Care-Share. Their festival in Portland last year was recognized by Readers Digest as “the best group service project in America.” Next week I'm planning to attend a meeting in Phoenix where they're working on another Festival of Love for next year.
8. YWAM – in 149 countries. I serve on the board of the President's Advisory Council for YWAM, which presently has 20,000 workers, and growing, serving around the world – probably one of the best mission models of Pray-Care-Share. I will have further discussions with John Dawson regarding the Pray-Care-Share strategy.
