Praise God for the LC2C meeting that I led in Charlotte in September, where the Lord's presence and blessing was experienced as over 35 pastors committed their churches to LC2C. They expect the number of participating pastors and churches to double—to 70 or more involved. Also stepping forward to commit their ministries were the leaders of over 400 singles in Charlotte and the executive director of the Charlotte Youth Commission, which includes 60 chapters of junior and senior high school students. I've submitted suggestions for the next phases of LC2C in Charlotte, to include the Planning phase, the Leadership Commitment phase and the Prayer-Launch phase. This was one of the most eager cities—ready to move forward in Loving Their Community to Christ.

Charlotte (population 716,000) is the largest city in the Carolinas and one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. Once known as the “City of Churches,” Charlotte has over 700 congregations. The city is home to many significant ministries, including the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Charlotte has a long history of citywide prayer through the Metrolina Prayer Network, formed in the 1980s. Charlotte Awake is the the local network of pastors and ministry leaders, and the LC2C partner organization. Among its efforts are a strategy for ending hunger in the metro area and a campaign for prayer-care-share champions in 100 key churches in the city.
