The hurts, distrust and prejudice from Civil War days still profoundly influence Charleston. Right relations need to be restored among pastors and key Christian leaders in this city of mixed ethnicity. Meetings held in September focused on the subject, “Toward Wholeness in our Community—Recognizing, Confronting and Overcoming the Obstacles to Right Relationships.” I'm excited to report that the Lord met needs in a wonderful way in the meetings that were led by Jim and Jarvis, and positive steps were instituted to accomplish the goals of healing and change of heart so that the leaders can move toward Loving Their Community to Christ.
