By now you've probably heard about the troubling, but not surprising, federal court ruling that declared Proposition 8--California's marriage protection amendment--unconstitutional. The decision to overturn the will of the people was made by gay activist judge, Vaughn Walker. In his ruling, Judge Walker wrote that there was no “rational basis” for supporting marriage as the union of a man and a woman--despite the fact that 7 million California voters had approved the marriage amendment in 2008.

This ruling is not the end of the story for marriage as we know it, as this case is expected to move on to the 9th Circuit, and eventually to the Supreme Court.

We are faced with a raging assault on fundamental family values. Please pray for our nation and people and for the decisions that will come from the courts. The results will impact what children are taught in schools about their sexual identity and will literally impact the right of churches and Christian leaders to teach biblical marriage.
