Are you ready to accept homosexual education in the
California school system?

You may not be aware that California’s SB48, the “gay history” bill, has been passed by the state legislature and signed by Governor Brown. I’m concerned enough that I want to share this information with you from Pacific Justice Institute:

This controversial bill will require public schools to emphasize the roles and contributions of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people. It will regulate the content of classroom instruction—even in charter schools—to include positive discussions of the sexual orientations of transgender, bisexual, and gay Americans in all social science courses and as early as kindergarten.
My heart was aching as I read Psalm 119 this week: “Because I consider all your precepts right, I hate every wrong path.” (v. 128). I believe this bill is the wrong path.

I’ve given much attention to influencing the Church to be God’s light to the world; but we also are called to be salt in influencing the culture. I believe that as believers, we must

1) Recognize the right for consenting adults to have whatever relationships they choose.

2) Love and respect people in Christ's name, whatever their life choices.

3) Exercise our responsibility as citizens to use our voices and exercise our right to vote and to influence God-given values.

4) Oppose the teaching of our children that a homosexual lifestyle is normal and to be honored and as good as heterosexual marriage.

But . . . What can we do?
(For Californians) … If you’re not of a mind to accept this bill, which affects the education of your children and grandchildren, then you can do something. Choose to act now. Even though the California legislature and governor passed SB48, the people have the right to decide.

Referendum petitions to overturn SB48 are available to you online at www.pji.org (or call 916-847-6900) and at www.StopSB48.com. Only 30 days remain to get SB48 onto the California ballot for next year.

This is not a matter of politics, but it is about influencing God-given values in our culture and for the next generation. I urge you to pray about this bill, about our state and nation, and about your role in defending biblical family values.

In Christ,
Pastor Larry
